CASS Office Relocation

Cass Information Systems Inc., a leading Telecoms services provider, based in Ohio, were looking to set up a new UK Headquarters following the acquisition of a Basingstoke-based company.

Brief

Having presented to the UK Managing Director and the local Management team, we were selected to work with the company to provide interior design and cost consultancy services for their a new, larger building. Having visited two buildings in Basing View, Basingstoke, we were asked to develop design and cost proposals for the buildings and reported back to the company’s global property consultant.

The Project

We then helped to select a new space for the company within Belvedere House on Basing View, working on behalf of the US project team, as their ‘eyes on the ground’, providing a detailed review of the space, including a report on the existing electrical and air conditioning installations.

Having created a schedule of items for the landlord to rectify for their new tenant, the landlord appointed us to complete the relevant works on their behalf. This work included electrical installations and repairs to the general fabric of the space, as well as installing the interior walls to partition the larger office space ready for Cass. These works totalled approximately £20,000.

Following this phase of the project, we worked on the design of the internal office space for Cass, with various colour options rendered in 3D. We provided the design as a “fly-through” video, enabling the UK and US teams to be able to see the proposed end-result.

Build & Furniture

Having provided costs on an “open-book” basis for complete transparency, we visited showrooms with the client to specify furniture, carpets and colours, with storage walls from ABox, desking and seating from Herman Miller and boardroom furniture from Orangebox.

The installation itself took place out of hours, so as not to disturb the other tenants in the office block, with the installation of partitioning, carpets, energy-efficient led lighting and electrics to complete the office space (including hot desk and breakout areas) as well as individual offices and boardrooms. We also installed a separate kitchen and personalised the space with window graphics and wall art.

A/V Technology

As well as appropriate cabling for networking and dedicated space for servers, we also installed LED displays in the boardroom – 65 and 42 inches.
